Network
The settings for the Network are one of the most important settings that allow management of the Controller.
The Controller can be managed by using a Management System via SOAP or simply to log in to the web
managing interface IP defined in the LAN settings. To enter this configuration:
In the main menu, hover over
MANAGEMENT
and click on
NETWORK
. The web page is shown in
Figure 39
and
the parameters are described in
Table 15
.
In the LAN settings there are the IP address and Subnet mask. The IP address is the main IP address which
allows to directly managing the Controller. Please refer to
Getting started
on
page
8
before the Controller is
powered on.
The Management VLAN needs to be configured to be able to manage the Controller on the Trunk port.

Reset Click to discard the settings.

Time Settings
The date and time are mainly used for logs and may be important for proper event logging while
troubleshooting. There is an option to enter the time manually or automatically by an NTP-Server. The
Controller has to be able to connect to an NTP-server to update the time automatically.
In the main menu, hover over
SETTINGS
and click on
TIME
.
