Using the DT220
The DT220 has 8 function keys located at the top of the keyboard, 5 Scale oriented
function keys under the 8 function keys, a numeric keypad, an alpha keyboard, and 7
control keys at the bottom of the keyboard. This section of the DT220 manual describes
what the keys are used for and how to use them.
Keyboard Layout
Operation of Function Keys
The function keys are located on the 1

nd
rows on the DT220’s keypad.
Zero
Press the ZERO key to zero the scale. The following conditions must be met for the
ZERO key to function:
• The gross weight is within the configured zero acquisition range: 1% to 100% of full
scale.
• The scale is stable (not in motion).
