Listening to Music from
the Media Server
You can play music les stored on a computer
(media server) connected to this unit via a
wired or wireless network. You can share the
music les easily by using Windows Media
Player 11 or later versions.
Conguring the Windows Media
Player
On Windows Media Player 11 version

Run the Windows Media Player 11
version on your computer.

Click the “Library” tab in the menu bar,
and then select “Media Sharing”.

In the “Media Sharing” dialog box, select
the “Share my media” check box, and
then click “OK”.

Select this unit in the list of devices, and
then click “Allow”.

Click “OK” to close the dialog box.
On Windows Media Player 12 version

Run the Windows Media Player 12
version on your computer.

Click “Stream” at the top of the player.

Click “Turn on media streaming” when it
appears in the next window.

Select “Local Network” next to Show
devices on if it is not already selected.

Click “OK” to close the dialog box.

Windows Media Player 11 and 12
versions can be downloaded for free from
the Microsoft web site.
•
If the rewall restricts access, Windows
Media Player 11 and 12 cannot be
congured.
