Use and Care Guide

Due to the recent pandemic coronavirus outbreak, hygienic products are
on the mind of many people. Bacteria and viruses exist on most
surfaces
and can multiply between cleanings; door hardware, phones,
and light switches are among the items touched most throughout the
day. Microbes are then transferred from one person to another by
touch. 80% of all infectious diseases are spread through physical
contact.
To meet this health crisis, INOX is making our MICROARMOR™ ANTIMICROBIAL COATING available across
our line of our door hardware.
Q: How does it work?
A: INOX MicroArmor™ Antimicrobial Coating uses silver ions to inhibit the growth of microbes on the surface. The silver
ions attach themselves to a microbe’s cellular enzyme, inhibiting the growth of the microbe, reducing the
spread of bacteria, fungi, and mold, and helping mitigate against such microbes as e-coli, salmonella, strep, and
MRSA.
Q: Is it safe?
A: Yes. Silver occurs naturally in nature. The ions are non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
Q: Has it been tested by a third party?
A: INOX MicroArmor™ Antimicrobial Coating has been tested and found to effectively restrict microbes such as
Staphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli, and has passed rigid independent laboratory test JIS Z 2801. Certification
documents are available on request.
Q: Will antimicrobial coating kill coronavirus?
A: At this time, no one knows what can inhibit or kill the coronavirus. The best thing is for our immune system to
defend against the coronavirus—so the healthier we are, the better our chances of fighting it off.
Q: How long will the coating last?
A: Coatings retain this capability over time to inhibit the microbes and prevent replication and growth. With proper care
and occasional cleaning, powder coating has an excellent anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion rate.
Q: What’s the INOX Warranty on this coating?
A: INOX warrants this coating for 2 years for residential, hospitality, and commercial applications.
Q: Is it available on the entire line of INOX hardware?
A: The INOX product line in stainless steel, plated, or CeraMax ceramic coating finish, including door levers and pulls,
deadbolts, exit/panic devices, and push/pull plates, is available with INOX MicroArmor™ Antimicrobial Coating.
Q: How do I order?
A: INOX MicroArmor™ Antimicrobial Coating is available across our product line as noted above. Contact
sales@unisonhardware.com for more information or visit www.inoxproducts.com. To specify, simply add “-
AM (for Anti-Microbial) as a suffix to your item number (e.g., “RA243L461-32D-AM”) and/or add “Antimicrobial
