SPECIAL NOTE FOR VEHICLES THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD OEM
uCONNECT MODULES
Insane Audio has recently become aware of a Jeep factory defect
where certain uConnect modules will still remain active even after
your OEM radio has been removed. This may result in your old
uConnect module placing an un-necessary drain on your vehicle’s
battery even after your Jeep is powered off. You don’t need that
uConnect module anymore as your new Insane Audio JK2001 does
everything it used to and a whole lot more. So, we recommend you
remove this too.
To remove your uConnect module:
1. With your dash still opened up, remove your AC controls (they
are on pressure clips and should just pop off)
2. You should see the old uConnect module (two screws hold it in
place).
4. Unplug it and remove it.
