5G INDUSTRIAL GATEWAY S2000e USER GUIDE 14
Connecting to a DC Power Source
The DC cable harness includes power and I/O pins.
To connect your S2000e to a DC power source:
1. Disconnect the power source, if applicable.
2. Connect the black (ground) wire on the DC power cable to the cabinet, enclosure, or chassis
ground.
3. Ensure the S2000e device is also grounded.
4. Fuse the red power wire on the DC power cable to the power source through the fuse box, if
appropriate.
5. Connect the power wire on the DC power cable to the power source.
6. If you are using Ignition Sense, connect an I/O wire to the ignition switch.
NOTE: Ignition Sense ensures a controlled shutdown of the S2000e when the ignition is turned
off. You can configure a delay between the time the ignition shuts off and when the S2000e shuts
off. See GPIO Settings on page 36.
7. Connect the DC power cable to the S2000e.
8. Reconnect the power source, if applicable.
