Connecting a TV using a component video
cable (better)
Using an digital audio receiver
To connect a component-capable TV to a digital
audio receiver:
1 Connect a component video cable to the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back of
your player and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN
jacks on the TV.
2 Connect a digital optical cable to the OPTICAL
DIGITAL OUT jack on the back of your TV and to
the OPTICAL DIGITAL IN jack on the receiver.
Or
Connect a digital coaxial cable to the COAXIAL
DIGITAL OUT jack on the back of your TV and to
the COAXIAL DIGITAL IN jack on the receiver.
3 Connect a second optical or digital cable to the
DIGITAL OUT jack on the receiver and to the
DIGITAL IN jack on the TV.
Using an analog audio receiver
To connect a component-capable TV to an
analog audio receiver:
1 Connect a component video cable to the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the back of
your player and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN
jacks on the TV.
2 Connect an audio cable to the AUDIO OUT L/R
jacks on the back of your player and to the
AUDIO IN L/R jacks on the receiver.
3 Connect a second audio cable to the AUDIO
OUT L/R jacks on the recevier and to the AUDIO
IN L/R jacks on the TV.
Notes
The following task shows connecting the audio to a
receiver. If you want to use the TV speakers instead of
a receiver, connect the audio cable to the TVs audio
in jacks on the TV.
