30 This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as:
• Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working
environments
• Farm houses
• By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type
environments
• Bed and breakfast type environments
31 This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the
plug in any way.
32 A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer
cord.
33 WARNING: You may use an extension cord if proper care is
exercised.
34 If you use an extension cord, make sure that:
• The marked electrical rating of the extension cord is at least as
great as the electrical rating of your kettle.
• The extension cord is not draped over a counter or table top
where children can pull it or trip over it.
