ApplianceLinc™ - INSTEON

Model: 2456S3
Introduction
Allows you to remotely control any appliance/device in and outside
your home at the touch of a button. Can be used with incandescent
lamps up to 480 Watts and inductive loads up to 15 Amps.
Installing ApplianceLinc
1) Plug appliance/device (also called the load) you want to control into bottom ApplianceLinc outlet
2) Plug ApplianceLinc into unswitched wall outlet
Status LED will turn on
The load will turn on
3) If load does not turn on, turn it on manually using the switch on the load itself
4) Tap Set button to toggle load on and off
You can use the pass-through outlet on the front of ApplianceLinc as a normal uncontrolled wall
outlet. However, do not plug another home automation product into this outletstacked modules
may overheat and malfunction.
Make ApplianceLinc a Responder
Control ApplianceLinc from another INSTEON device:
1) Use Set button to adjust ApplianceLinc to desired state (on or off)
2) Put controller into linking mode. (For most controllers press and hold Set button for 3 seconds or an
on/scene button for 10 seconds.)
3) Press and hold ApplianceLinc Set button until it double-beeps
Status LED will flash twice and then turn on solid
4) Confirm link by tapping controller’s button on and off
Connected light/load will turn on and off
