Alarms, Notications, Communication Errors 1010 Alarms, Notications, Communication Errors
If you are using your PDM when a notication is triggered, the notication
message appears at the top of the screen. To remove the message from the screen:
• Do nothing. e message disappears aer several seconds and is saved as a
new message.
• Swipe up to remove the message immediately and save it as a new message.
• Swipe right to remove the message immediately and save it as an
acknowledged message.
Acknowledging notications
Note: Waking up and using your PDM does not automatically acknowledge, or
silence, notications.
All new notications are included in the Notications & Alarms count ( ) in
the red circle in the upper right of most screens.
To acknowledge the notication:
1. Wake up your PDM.
2. Tap the bell icon ( ) to bring up the Notications & Alarms screen.
3. Read any messages with blue notication icons ( ). Scroll down the screen,
if necessary, to see any additional notications with blue icons ( ).
4. Tap the back arrow ( ) in the upper le of the screen to mark the
notications as acknowledged.
Note: Putting the PDM to sleep by pressing the Power button does not mark
the notications as acknowledged. You must tap the back arrow ( ) to
acknowledge the notication.
Priority and Predictability of Alarms and Notications
Hazard alarms take priority over advisory alarms. In general, only one hazard
alarm can occur at a time. In the unlikely event that a Pod and PDM hazard alarm
occur simultaneously, the PDM hazard alarm is displayed rst.
Advisory alarms take priority over notications. If multiple advisory alarms occur,
the PDM displays the most recent message rst. e following advisory alarms
always precede a hazard alarm:
