Connecting the Power/Turning on the DPS-5.9
Before connecting
Make sure that all the connections on pages 18–23 are
complete (the connection to a TV is required).
Note:
The DPS-5.9 features a screen saver and an auto
power off function. If the DPS-5.9 is stopped and no
button is pressed for 15 minutes, the screen saver
starts (see page 48). If the disc tray is closed but no
disc is playing and no control is pressed for 20 min-
utes, the DPS-5.9 automatically goes into standby (see
page 50).
You can adjust the brightness of the display as follows.
Note:
When the display brightness is changed, the display
brightness of other Integra/Onkyo AV components
connected via also changes. This does not work
for components connected via RIHD.
1
Plug the supplied power cord into
the AC INLET and then into the
power outlet on the wall.
Do not use a power cord other than the
one supplied with the DPS-5.9. The
power cord supplied is designed for
use with the DPS-5.9 and should not
be used with any other device.
•Never have the power cord discon-
nected from the DPS-5.9 while the
other end is plugged into the wall outlet.
Doing so may cause an electric shock.
Always connect by plugging into the
wall outlet last and disconnect by
unplugging from the wall outlet first.
Before unplugging the DPS-5.9 from
the power outlet, make sure you first
switch it into standby.
