Connecting a Power Amplifier
You can connect a power amplifier to the unit and use the
unit as a pre-amplifier in order to produce a large volume
that cannot be output with the unit only. Connect the
speakers to the power amplifier. For details, refer to the
power amplifier's instruction manual.
Power amplifier

Set the unconnected channels to "None" in "Speaker
Configuration".
After pressing Receiver, press Home on the remote
controller. Select "Setup" with the cursors and press

Configuration" and set the unconnected channels to
"None".
11.4 ch Playback
The maximum 11.4 ch playback is possible when a 9 ch
internal power amplifier and 2 ch external power amplifier
are combined.
Connections

See the figure below and connect the analog audio
input terminals of an external power amplifier and the
HEIGHT 2 or WIDE PRE OUT terminals of the unit using
the RCA cable.

Turn the unit on and set "11ch Playback" to "Yes".

"Speaker Settings" - "11ch Playback".

Select "Yes" with the cursors.

Audio will be output from "HEIGHT 2" or
"WIDE" depending on the setting of "Speaker
Configuration".

When "11ch Playback" is set to "Yes", audio will
not be output from the HEIGHT 2 or WIDE PRE
OUT speaker terminals.
