First Time Setup—Continued
• Make the room as quiet as possible.
Background noise can disrupt the
room measurements. Close
windows, silence cell phones,
televisions, radios, air conditioners,
fluorescent lights, home appliances,
light dimmers, or other devices.
• Cell phones should be turned off or
placed away from all audio
electronics during the measurement
process as Radio Frequency
Interference (RFI) may cause
measurement disruptions (even if the
cell phone is not in use).

Press [Enter].
The room correction and speaker setup
starts.
Test tones are played through each
speaker as Audyssey MultEQ
®
XT
Room Correction and Speaker Setup
runs. This process takes a few minutes.
Please refrain from talking during
measurements and do not stand
between speakers and the microphone.

The following screen appears.
Place the setup microphone at
the next position (page 58), and
then press [Enter].
Audyssey MultEQ XT performs more
measurements. This takes a few
minutes.

When prompted, place the setup
microphone at the next position,
and repeat step 5.

After the 3rd to the 8th measure-
ment, the following screen
appears.
Use the Up and Down [q]/[w] but-
tons to select an option, and then
press [Enter].
Next:
Select “Next” to begin measuring
the next measurement position.
After the 8th measurement has been
taken, the procedure automatically
proceeds to step 8.
Finish(Calculate):
Select this if you don’t want to
measure any more listening posi-
tions and are ready to calculate the
results, then go to step 8.

complete, the following screen
appears.
