Multi Zone
You can use four speaker systems with this AV receiver—a surround-sound speaker system (up to 9.2 channels) in
your main listening room, Zone 2: a stereo speaker system in a second room, Zone 3: a stereo speaker system in a third
room and Zone 4: a stereo speaker system in a fourth room. And, you can select a different audio source for each room.
Main room: In your main listening room, you can enjoy up to 9.2-channel playback (see page 17).
You can enjoy the various listening modes, such as Dolby, DTS, and THX (see pages 88 to 98).
* While Powered Zone 2/3 is being used, playback is reduced to 7.2-channels (see pages 137 and 139).
* While Powered Zone 4 is being used, playback is reduced to 3.2-channels (see page 140).
Zone 2: In your Zone 2 room, you can enjoy 2-channel stereo playback and video playback (see page 137).
Zone 3: In your Zone 3 room, you can enjoy 2-channel stereo playback (see page 139).
Zone 4: In your Zone 4 room, you can enjoy 2-channel stereo playback (see page 140).
* The listening modes cannot be used with Zone 2/3/4.
