Getting to Know the NVS-7.7

A
Standby/On button (33, 40)
Sets the NVS-7.7 to On or Standby.
B
Standby indicator (33, 40)
Lights up orange when the NVS-7.7 is off,
red when it’s in Standby mode, and goes off
altogether when its on.
C
Keyboard receiver
Radio signals from the wireless keyboard
are received here.
D
CD/DVD disc tray
CDs and DVDs are loaded here.
E
Open/Close button
Opens and closes the disc tray.
F
Remote-control sensor (22)
Receives control signals from the remote
controller.

Display
See “Display” on page 15.
H
Rewind and Fast Forward [ ]/[ ]
buttons
Used to rewind [ ] or fast forward [ ]
DVDs, music, or other media.
I
Stop button
Stops playback or recording.
J
Play/Pause button
Starts or pauses playback.
K
USB ports
These USB 2.0 ports are for connecting
USB peripherals.
L
IEEE1394 (DV) port
This port is for connecting computer periph-
erals and camcorders that support IEEE
1394. The NVS-7.7 does not supply power
to the device connected to this port.
Note that this port may not support all of the
functionality of all IEEE 1394-capable
devices.

Keyboard Reset button
Used to reset the keyboard.
