Advisory:

S/N from FZUP2302540 to FZUP2302721 (inclusive)

S/N from FZUP2470161 to FZUP2470308 (inclusive)

Description

An issue was discovered by Intel for which a small number of recently built Intel® Workstation system P4304CR2LFJN

may have the wrong system fan bracket installed (inside). The expected part in the Intel® Workstation system

P4304CR2LFJN is a P4000L based fan bracket, but the units affected by this Technical Advisory were configured with a

P4000M based fan bracket. The following picture shows the difference between systems with incorrect fan bracket

installed and systems with correct fan bracket installed.

The units affected by this Technical Advisory may have incorrect system fan location which leads to relatively higher system fan speed thus worse acoustic performance than the units with correct system fan bracket. Root Cause There was an excursion during manufacturing and the Intel® Workstation system P4304CR2LFJN was built with the incorrect system fan bracket.
