Description
The system with BIOS prior to version R01.02.0003 may hang when the on-board SATA/SAS Capable Controller has
Intel
®
ESRT2 mode enabled.
Note the on-board AHCI Capable SATA Controller in Intel
®
ESRT2 mode is not impacted by above issues.
Root Cause
The Intel
®
ESRT2 Option Read Only Memory (OpROM) space embedded in system BIOS has a potential conflict with
add-in adapters. Conditions vary based on other devices enabled in the system.
Corrective Action/Resolution
This issue is corrected in BIOS R01.02.0003 with the new OpROM code implemented. Please upgrade your system
BIOS to version R01.02.0003 or later using the SUP (System Upgrade Package). The latest SUP is available on the
Intel web site at (
