Verify whether any drives are left to import because the locked drives can use different
security keys. If any drives remain, repeat the import process for the remaining drives.
After all the drives are imported, there is no configuration to import.
Note: When you cr
eate a new configuration, the Ctrl-R Utility shows only the unconfigured
drives. Drives that have existing configurations, including foreign configurations, do not
appear. To use drives with existing configurations, you first must clear the configuration
on those drives.
You can import or clear a foreign configuration from the VD
Mgmt menu or from the
Foreign View menu.
Perform the following steps to import or clear a foreign configuration from the VD Mgmt
menu:
1. In the VD Mgmt screen,
navigate to the controller, and press the F2 key.
2. Navigate to For
eign Config, and press Enter.
The foreign configuration options Import and Cle
ar appear.

3. Navigate to the command you want to perform.
— To import a foreign configuration, go to step 4.
— To clear a foreign configuration, go to step 6.
4. To import a foreign configuration, select Im
port, and press Enter.
The following dialog appears.
