Caution: If there are any foreign configurations, import the foreign configuration before you
discard the preserved cache. Otherwise, you might lose data that belongs to the foreign
configuration.
Perform the following steps to discard the prese
rved cache:
1. In the VD
Mgmt screen, navigate to the controller, and press the F2 key.
2. Navigate to Manage Pr
eserved Cache, and press Enter.
The Manage
Preserved Cache dialog appears.

3. Press Disc
ard Cache to discard the preserved cache from the virtual drive. A
message box appears, asking you to confirm your choice.
4. Press OK t
o continue.
7.11 Converting JBOD Drives to Unconfigured
Good Drives
You can convert multiple JBODs to Unconfigured Good drives (from the VD Mgmt
screen) or you can convert a particular JBOD drive to an Unconfigured Good drive (from
the Drive Management screen).
Perform the following steps to convert multiple JBODs to Unconfigured Good drives:
1. In the VD
Mgmt screen, navigate to the controller, and press the F2 key.
2. Navigate to M
ake Unconfigured Good, and press Enter.
