RemoteAuthenticationDial‐InUserService(RADIUS)isanetworkingprotocolthat
providescentralizedAuthentication,AuthorizationandAccounting(AAAorTripleA)
managementforuserswhoconnectanduseanetworkservice.RADIUSisaclient/server
protocolthatrunsintheapplicationlayerandcanuseeitherTCPorUDPastransport.Networkaccessservers,the
gatewaysthatcontrolaccesstoanetwork,usuallycontainaRADIUSclientcomponentthatcommunicateswiththe
RADIUSserver.RADIUSisoftentheback‐endofchoicefor802.1Xauthenticationaswell.TheRADIUSserverisusuallya
backgroundprocessrunningonaUNIXorMicrosoftWindowsserver. 

amountoftimebeforetryingagain.Theamountoftimeisspecifiedwiththe
quiet‐periodparameter.Enteredinminutes;max.1440minutes(24hours).
Dead‐criteriaretrycount SetthenumberoftimesthattheIntellinetswitchdoesnotgetavalid
responsefromtheRADIUSserverbeforetheserverisconsideredunavailable.
Dead‐criteriatimeout SetthetimeinsecondsduringwhichtheIntellinetswitchdoesnotneedtoget
avalidresponsefromtheRADIUSserver.Therangeisfrom1to120seconds.


