6.12.4.3 Dot1xAuthentication
The802.1xstandarddefinesaclient‐server‐basedaccesscontrolandauthenticationprotocolthatpreventsunauthorized
clientsfromconnectingtoaLANthroughpubliclyaccessibleports,unlesstheyareproperlyauthenticated.The
authenticationserverauthenticateseachclientconnectedtoaswitchportbeforemakingavailableanyservicesoffered
bytheswitchortheLAN.

Note:Ifyouactivatethisbuthavenotconfiguredanyoftheauthenticationmethods(i.e.,RADIUS)correctly,youwilllose
accesstotheIntellinetswitch,andyoumayneedtoperformahardwareresetinordertore‐gainaccesstotheweb
