11: SSL Encryption / Access via HTTPS
The MPEG4 cameras are equipped with SSL encryption, a safe way of accessing your camera.
SSL encryption ensures, that the data traffic between your camera and the computer is
encrypted.
Access to the camera via HTTPS:
To utilize HTTPS, you need to enter the following address in your Web browser:
Note: Use "https" instead of "http".
You will be presented with a security
message (may vary depending on your
system). Despite the warning message,
you should click on "Yes" to continue.
The message tells you, that the
security certificate was issued for the
domain networkipcamera.com and that
there is a mismatch between the web
site and the address of the camera.
Since your network camera runs on a
different IP address than the web site,
the warning message is shown.
The message below will be shown to users of MS Internet Explorer 7.x
Click "Continue to this website (not recommended)" to proceed.
