TruVision NVR 21(S/P) User Manual 125
Accessing IP cameras connected to an internal
switch
There are two independent networks systems in the TVN 21S. One is used for the
computer (such as NIC type and the IPv4 address). The other is used by the recorder
for the IP cameras. The recorder automatically connects the cameras to this network.
When on the same LAN as the TVN 21S, the "Bridge PoE camera network" setting
allows you, while using the TVN 21S browser interface, to connect directly to the PoE
camera browser interface for advanced settings. The PoE camera browser interface is
accessible by clicking the IP camera’s IP address in the TVN21S browser interface.
To access IP cameras via the browser:
1. From the menu toolbar, click Network Settings > More Settings > Bridge PoE
Camera Network.
2. Enable Bridge PoE Camera Network.
3. From the menu toolbar, click Camera Management > IP Camera.
4. Click the IP address of the desired camera to open access to it.
5. Click Apply to save the settings and then click Back to return to live view.
- Or -
1. In the browser, enter the IP address of the recorder.
2. Select the PoE port of the recorder for the desired camera. Depending on which port
the camera is connected, select 65001 for PoE port 1 up to 65016 for PoE port 16.
Configuring the camera OSD settings
The on-screen display (OSD) settings appear in live view mode and include the camera
name, time and date. They also are included in recordings.
You can also adjust the transparency of the OSD relative to the background so that it is
easier to read or is less prominent on screen.
