Searching system logs for events
Many events of the recorder, such as operations, alarms and notifications, are logged
into the system logs. They can be viewed and exported at any time.
Up to 2000 log files can be viewed at once.
Log files can also be exported onto a USB device. The exported file is named according
to the time it was exported. For example: 20120729124841logBack.txt.
Note: Connect the backup device, such as a USB flash drive, to the recorder before
commencing the log search.
To search and export log files:
1. From the menu toolbar, click System Settings > Log Search.
2. Enter the search parameters and click Search to begin the search. The logs
matching the search criteria are displayed.
