The ScanPlus 1800 range of hand-held
bar code scanners uses the latest
patented technology and integrated
design for fast and accurate contact and
non-contact scanning.
The S1800 incorporates innovative
solutions for:
• Different depths of field
• Easy connectivity
• Changing setup requirements
• Selecting linear (1D) and stacked (2D)
bar codes, including PDF417
S1800 scanners can be ordered with one
of two scan engines:
• SR (CCD linear image) scan engine for
close reading applications
(0 to 10cm/4”)
• ST (Laser) scan engine for applications
requiring a longer depth of field
(to 50 cm/20”)
The SR engine features new patented
technology that provides a sharp, brightly
illuminated scan line for accurate
positioning of the scanner. The fast scan
rate of up to 400 scans per second
ensures intuitive, instant reading.
The ST engine provides an excellent
depth of field for applications where
distance reading is important.
Both options offer simple and reliable
scanning in a unique, highly ergonomic
shape.
A universal interface system allows each
of the S1800 model variants to be
connected to many hundreds of PC’s, cash
registers or other terminals simply by
changing the cable and software set-up.
