KTS-1GA User Guide (TX Only)

 CIRCUIT BREAKER

1. If buoys are about to store in the place without sunlight over 30days, please be

sure to PLUG IN the circuit breaker first to prevent over-discharging which may

damage batteries.

2. Before you charge buoys under the sun or by Kato charger, please PULL OUT the

circuit breaker first.

 POWER ON/OFF

1. POWER-ON: Place the magnet on the switch to make the LED indicators

flash quickly and wait for 3-5 seconds. When the power indicator shuts down,

remove the magnets from the cover. Then, POWER ON is done.

2. POWER-OFF: Under Power-On mode, place the magnet on the switch to

make the power indicator illuminate and wait for 3-5 seconds. When the power

indicator shuts down, remove the magnet from the cover. Then, POWER OFF is

done.

 BUOY TRANSMISSION

POWER-ON: When KTS-1GA buoy is powered on, it will report its last position,

remaining battery voltage, temperature and UTC time to the receiver on the vessel

and switch to its 10-minute Report Mode at the same time.

PS: In general, it takes 30~90 seconds to reposition the KTS-1GA buoy. If the

KTS-1GA is idle for a long time, or if the distance between the last and the newest

positions is too far, it takes longer to reposition the KTS-1GA.

 POWER INDICATOR

Stop using the buoy.

Please charge the buoy. The buoy can operate normally.

PS: When the power indicator shows in red, please stop using the buoy, or the

rechargeable battery inside the buoy will be over discharged and get damaged.

KTS-1GA User Guide (TX Only)  POWER CHARGE (UNDER THE SUN) 1. POWER-ON Mode: The solar buoys will keep fully charged. 2. POWER-OFF Mode: The solar buoys will self-recharge automatically. PS: Charge the buoys at least every 2 months if they are not in use for a long time. This is to keep the battery alive.  QUICK POWER CHARGE(ONLY KATO CHARGER ALLOW) In case of urgent need of solar buoys with low battery (ORANGE), you have to recharge them for about 7 hours by KATO CHARGER (ABC-1202M) only.
