WARNING
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may result.
Before performing any maintenance, adjustments or service, ALWAYS turn the
wheelchair power off, otherwise injury or damage may result.
Adjusting the Back Width
Anewbackpanisrequiredwhenthebackwidthisadjusted.BackwidthMUSTbe
adjustedwithseatwidth.RefertoAdjustingtheSeatWidthonpage 72.
Adjusting the Back Angle
WARNING
Wheelchairs with TRRO Only - Adjusting the back angle from the factory setting
will void TRRO compliance. After adjusting the back angle, DO NOT transport an
occupied wheelchair in a motor vehicle of any kind. The wheelchair may only be
transported in a motor vehicle while unoccupied, and will be considered TRBKTS.
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 10.1onpage 56.
1. Loosen,butDONOTremove,thetwolowermountingscrewssecuringthecane
bracketstothebackcanesandinserts.
2. Removethetwouppermountingscrews,washers*,twocovedwashersandtwo
locknutssecuringthecanebracketstothebackcanesandinserts.
*NOTE:Non‐TRROwheelchairshavefourwashersandTRROwheelchairshavetwowashers.
3. Aligntheuppermountingholesinthebackcanesandinsertswiththedesired
mountingholesinthecanebrackets(Detail“A ” ) .
4. Installthetwouppermountingscrews,washers*,covedwashersandlocknutsto
securethecanebracketstothebackcanes.
5. Torquethelocknutsonupperandlowermountingscrewsto156in‐lbs±20%.
