SECTION 12—JUNIOR SEATS
WARNING
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may result.
Before performing any maintenance, adjustments or service, ALWAYS turn the
wheelchair power off, otherwise injury or damage may result.
Removing/Installing the Seat Pan
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 12.1onpage 70andFIGURE 12.2onpage 71.
Removing
1. Removetheseatcushion(notshown).
2. 12to13‐inchSeatWidthsOnly‐Performthefollowingsteps:
A. Notethemountingpositionofonebackcanebracketforreinstallation.
B. Removethetwohexscrews,washer,pinandtwolocknutssecuringonebackcane
brackettothetopofthesiderail.
C. Removethehexscrewsecuringthesideofthebackcanebrackettothesiderail.
D. Loosen,butDONOTremove,thetwohexscrewssecuringtheremainingback
canebrackettothetopofthesiderail.
3. Removethescrewsandlocknutssecuringtheseatpantotheseatframe.
NOTE:Wheelchairswithpowerelevatinglegrestshavetwoscrews(FIGURE 12.1onpage 70)
andwheelchairswithoutpowerelevatinglegrestshavethreescrews(FIGURE 12.2onpage 71).
4. Removetheseatpanfromtheseatframe.
Installing
1. Positiontheseatpanontotheseatframe.
NOTE:For
12to13‐inchseatwidths,theseatpanmustbepositionedbetweenthebackcane
bracketandthesiderail.
