DO NOT install or use this equipment without first reading and understanding this instruction

healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel before attempting to install this

equipment - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.

The Bariatric Trapeze, used in conjunction with a bed, can assist an individual weighing up to

1000 lbs (453.6 kg). The Bariatric Trapeze is designed to provide support, increase stability and

assist the user when repositioning himself/herself in bed. The Bariatric Trapeze is not designed,

however, to support the total body weight of an individual. Use it for assistance only.

Always be aware of the location of the boom tube, base assemblies, and grab bar - otherwise,

injury or damage may occur.

DO NOT store grab bar on the boom tube or mast - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.

DO NOT install or adjust trapeze while bed is occupied.

Ensure that the snap buttons in the base assemblies fully protrude through the holes in the

A-frame. This ensures that the base assemblies are properly installed and securely locked in

position.

After installation and before use, ensure all attaching hardware is tight and secure at all times.

ALWAYS rotate Trapeze so the grab bar is directly above the individual using the grab bar. Grab

bar should be grasped with both hands and pulled straight down. DO NOT pull grab bar at an

angle - otherwise injury or damage may occur.

Ensure that the trapeze clamp is securely tightened before using the trapeze, otherwise injury

may occur.

Ensure that the quick release pin is securely locked in place before using the trapeze, otherwise

injury may occur.

After positioning unit, ensure locking casters on the bed assembly are in the locked position.

Failure to lock bed casters can result in bed movement during trapeze use and result in possible

injury or property damage.

 ACCESSORIES WARNING

Invacare products are specifically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction with

Invacare accessories. Accessories designed by other manufacturers have not been tested by

Invacare and are not recommended for use with Invacare products.

Assembling the Trapeze NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1. NOTE: Invacare recommends that two people assemble the Bariatric Trapeze. WARNING The weight of the Bariatric Trapeze components are between 17 lbs (7.72 kg) and 21 lbs (9.53 kg). Use proper lifting techniques (lift with your legs) to avoid injury. 1. Remove shipping end caps (yellow) from A‐frame. 2. Insert the base assemblies into the A‐frame. 3.

1. To adjust the rotation, pull out the quick release pin (Detail ʺBʺ). 2. Move the trapeze to the desired position. There are three holes to choose from as shown in Detail ʺCʺ. 3. Let go of the quick release pin once the trapeze is in the desired position. You should hear an audible ʺclickʺ as the quick release pin enters one of the three holes and locks into place. WARNING Ensure that the quick release pin is securely locked in place BEFORE using the trapeze, otherwise injury may occur.

Assembler le Trapèze REMARQUE: Pour cette procédure, se référer à la FIGURE 1. REMARQUE: Invacare recommande que lʹassemblage du trapèze bariatrique soit effectué par deux (2) personnes. AVERTISSEMENT Les composantes du trapèze bariatrique pèsent entre 17 lbs (7.72 kg) et 21 lbs (9.53 kg). 1. Pour régler la rotation, enlever la goupille. (SCHÉMA ʺBʺ). 2. Déplacer le trapèze à la position voulue. Il y a trois (3) orifices possibles tel quʹillustré au SCHÉMA ʺCʺ. 3. Replacer la goupille lorsque le trapèze est à la position voulue. La goupille devrait émettre un déclic lorsquʹelle est bloquée dans lʹun des trois (3) orifices. AVERTISSEMENT S'assurer que la goupille est bien bloquée en place AVANT d'utiliser le trapèze, sans quoi des blessures peuvent survenir.
