 WARNING
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching 
hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may result.
Installing/Adjusting the Rear Wheel and Quick-Release 
Axles
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 7.1.
1. Makesurethattheaxlereceiverhexnut
issecurelytightenedbeforeinstalling
therearwheels.
2. Depressdetentpininthequick‐release
axleandslideaxlethroughtheaxle
receiver.
3. Releasedetentpinensuringthatthe
lockingpinsarefullyreleased.
NOTE:LockingpinsMUSTprotrudepastthe
endoftheaxlereceivertofullyrelease.Any
excessiveplayMUSTalsobeeliminated.

4. Increaseordecreaseendplaybyadjustingthelocknutontheendofthequick‐release
axle.
 WARNING
Make sure detent pin is fully released before operating the handcycle.
Keep locking pins clean.
5. Reinstallrearwheelonthehandcycle.
6. Tilthandcycleontoeitherrearwheelandspinraisedwheel.Itshouldspinfreelywith
noexcessivedrag.
7. Repeatprocedureforoppositerearwheel.
NOTE:Ifdragtoeithersideoccurs,repeattheprocedureuntilthehandcyclerollscorrectly.
