PAS OP • Dit apparaat is alleen bedoeld voor gebruik door volwassenen. • Dit apparaat is bedoeld voor het niet-invasief meten en controleren van arteriële bloeddruk. Het is niet bedoeld voor gebruik op ledematen anders dan de pols of voor functies anders dan het verkrijgen van een bloeddrukmeting. • Verwar zelfcontrole niet met zelfdiagnose. Met deze eenheid kunt u uw bloeddruk controleren. Begin of beëindig geen enkele medische behandeling zonder advies van een arts.
• Het apparaat hoeft binnen de servicetermijn van twee jaar niet gekalibreerd te worden. • Verwijder ACCESSOIRES, losse onderdelen en ME-APPARATUUR volgens de plaatselijke richtlijnen. • Als het apparaat is gebruikt voor metingen bij patiënten die lijden aan algemene aritmie, zoals atriale of ventriculaire extrasystole of atriumfibrilleren, kan het beste resultaat een afwijking vertonen. Raadpleeg uw arts over het resultaat.

3 wat u over bloeddruk moet weten Wat zijn systolische en diastolische bloeddruk? Als de hartkamers zich samentrekken en bloed uit het hart pompen, bereikt de bloeddruk zijn maximale waarde: de hoogste druk in de cyclus heet de systolische druk. Als het hart zich tussen de slagen ontspant, is de bloeddruk het laagst: diastolische druk.
WHO bloeddruk classificatie Overeenkomstig de richtlijnen en definities van de WHO en de meest recente bevindingen kunnen de meetresultaten worden geclassificeerd en geëvalueerd volgens de onderstaande tabel.
4 voor het eerste gebruik Voordat u het apparaat voor het eerst gebruikt, doet u het volgende: pak het apparaat voorzichtig uit en verwijder het verpakkingsmateriaal. Instellen van datum, tijd en eenheden Het is belangrijk dat u voor het gebruik van de bloeddrukmeter de klok instelt, zodat aan elke meting die in het geheugen wordt opgeslagen een tijdstip kan worden gekoppeld ( jaar: 2013—2099, time formaat: 24 H) 1. Houd de “SET” knop ingedrukt totdat het jaartal verschijnt en knippert om naar de instellingenmodus te gaan. 2. Druk op de “MEM" knop om het jaartal aan te passen en druk op "SET" om de instelling te bevestigen. Ga door met de volgende stap. 3.
5 bloeddruk meten Doe de manchet om 1. Breng de manchet aan om uw pols, ongeveer 1 ~ 2 cm onder de hand zoals te zien is op de afbeelding hiernaast. 2. Sluit de manchet om uw pols met het klittenband en laat daarbij geen ruimte tussen manchet en pols vrij. Als de manchet te los zit, is de meting niet nauwkeurig. Op de juiste manier meten • Ga gemakkelijk zitten met uw andere pols in rust op een vlakke ondergrond. • Neem 5 tot 10 minuten rust voor de meting.

3 things to know about blood pressure What are systolic pressure and diastolic pressure? When ventricles contract and pump blood out of the heart, blood pressure reaches its maximum value, the highest pressure in the cycle is known as systolic pressure. When the heart relaxes between heartbeats, the lowest blood pressure is diastolic pressure.
WHO blood pressure classification Standards for assessment of high blood pressure, without regard to age, have been established by the World Health Organization (WHO), and show in the chart below.

5 measuring blood pressure Attaching the wrist cuff 1. Wrap the wrist cuff around your wrist about (1 ~ 2 cm) above your hand as shown in the figure at the right. 2. Fasten the wrist cuff tightly by using the Velcro strip. For proper measurements, fasten the wrist cuff tightly and measure on a bare wrist. How to take proper measurements • For the best accuracy in blood pressure measurement, sit comfortably with your wrist resting on a flat surface. • Rest for about 5 to 10 minutes before a measurement.

9 frequently asked questions Why does my blood pressure fluctuate throughout the day? 1. Individual blood pressure varies multiple times every day.
