prior to first use
Before using the coffee machine for the first time, proceed as follows: Carefully unpack your coffee machine and remove all
packaging material and possible promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
Afterunpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
Place the coffee machine on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface. Check that the voltage stated on the information plate matches
the mains voltage used in your region.
It is best to clean the interior of the new coffee machine prior to using it for the first time. Clean the appliance as described in section
cleaning and maintenance. Then fill the water reservoir with cold water up to the 12 mark and allow the appliance to make two or three
runs without coffee.

setting the clock
1. Insert the plug in an earthed socket. When switching on the appliance the time display flashes on the display, indicating the time
12:00. If you do not set the time, the clock will continue to flash when switching on the appliance, andyou will not be able to use the
timer function of the appliance.
2. Press button
to set the correct hour (the clock has a 24 hour format).
3. Press button
to set the correct number of minutes.
4. Once you have set the time, the clock will stop flashing. When the appliance is disconnected from the mains, the clock must be set
again.
