USB Connectivity Notice: Notice - IDL7000 Universal Serial Bus (USB) Connectivity USB support of the IDL7000 is designed to allow for data sharing between mass storage devices and your newly purchased Digital Video Recorder. USB connectivity in this product enables sharing of images (JPEG) and audio files (MP3) using a USB Mass Storage Device. Additionally, extracts of transport stream video (.TS) can be transferred to a portable Mass Storage Device like a USB stick.
1. Quick installation guide This short instruction explains the most important functions to ensure that you can directly watch television and make recordings with your new digital receiver. Please note, additional adjustments may be required. Please read the general safety instructions carefully. 1.1. Connections Note: Do not connect the digital receiver to the main power yet. 1.1.1.
1.1.2. Connection to the TV set The Digital receiver and TV set are usually connected by means of a SCART cable (supplied with unit). Simply connect the two ends of the cable with the main SCART socket on the TV set and with the TV SCART socket on the receiver, respectively. The SCART connection ensures that audio and video signals are transmitted to the TV set in optimum quality.
1.1.3. Connection to a DVD or video recorder Just as the TV set, the DVD or video recorder is connected to the receiver via a SCART connection. Use the VCR SCART socket for this purpose (see picture 8). If you also have a video recorder connected to the terrestrial antenna cable, this terrestrial antenna connection should run first from the receiver to the video recorder and only from there to the TV set.
1.2. Connection to main power supply After all the connections are done you can connect your digital receiver to the main power. Just before plugging a power cable into the wall connector put the power switch, on the rear panel (17), in position 0. 1.3. Switching on your receiver Switch the power switch, (17) on the rear panel, to the position “I”. The satellite receiver is now switched on and starting (the message “Booting up” is shown on the display). This can take around 20 seconds.
LNB Type Select Universal for most standard LNBs, or Unicable if you have a Unicable LNB. Motor System If a motorized dish is connected to the digital receiver, use this option to set the system used for sending commands to the motor. Motorized dish If you select one of the options for motorized dish and press the “Yellow” function key, a new menu bar will be open. Here, you are able to adjust and set the position of this satellite. The two level bar meters can be used during adjustment.
2. Basic Operation: Changing the program on your receiver (Programme selection) • • • • You can use the numeric keys (20) on your remote control. You can use the directional keys (7) “Up” and “Down” on your remote control or on the front panel of the receiver. You can use the Ch+ and Ch- keys (13) on your remote control Scroll through the programme list by pressing the “TV” key (3), select with the navigation key “Up” or ”Down” the programme list, and confirm the selection with “OK” key (6).

Graphical User Interface Main Menu: Besides the programme that is received from the TV station, your digital receiver is able to display different information on your TV screen like: Volume bar, Menu, Pop-ups… All this things are used as an interface between receiver and the user. This interface is known as GUI (Graphical User Interface) or OSD (On Screen Display).
4.1. Settings To access “Settings” press “Menu” (4) and then select “Settings.” You may select the type of settings using the navigation keys or the corresponding number keys. In this chapter, all options of the settings menu will be described. Note: In the options you can also use navigation “Left” and “Right” key to change the settings (not for all settings). 4.1.1. User preferences This is where you can set the basic parameters of your digital receiver (see picture 14). Picture 13 4.1.1.1.
En • 4.1.1.7. Quick Save List You can use this option to specify into which favourite list your favourites will be automatically saved. You may select from the list of existing favourite lists or choose “Select FAV from list” to allow you to choose the location later, while adding favourites. 4.1.1.8. OSD colour You can change the colour of the GUI with this option. Select the preferred colour set with the “OK” key or directional “Left” and “Right” keys. 4.1.1.9.
VCR SCART connector (14). Select this option with the “OK” key (6) or “Left” and “Right” directional keys. 4.1.2.3. Aspect Ratio Use this option to specify the screen ratio of the connected TV set. Select this option with the “OK” key (6) or “Left” and “Right” directional keys. 4:3 – Select this option, if you have a standard TV with automatic format detection 16:9 – Select this option if you have a wide-screen TV 4:3 Letterbox – Select this option to convert a standard 4:3 video to 16:9.
En • “Please wait” until the formatting is complete. The formatting time will depend on the hard disk size. 4.1.3.2. Default Record Folder Use this option to select the location where all recordings should be saved. Press “OK” key (6) and select one of the folders. Here it is also possible to open a new folder by pressing the “Green” function key (9) “Create Folder”. With the numeric keys 2-9, enter the name of the new folder and press “OK” (6).
Note: Some transponders may transmit an incorrect time stamp. 4.1.4.2. Date This option is able only if “Automatic Time Update” is set to “Off” and it is used to set current date. After pressing “OK”, use the directional keys “Left” and “Right” to select the day, month or year. To set desired value use the directional keys “Up” and “Down”. Confirm your entries with the “OK” key (6). 4.1.4.3.

Scan mode: - Select Quick Scan to search for channels on the transponders in the preset transponder list for the selected satellite. - Select Complete to search for channels on all transponders for the selected satellite. 2. Channels: - Select All to search for all Free-to-Air and Pay TV channels. - Select Free-to-air to search only for Free-to-air channels. 3. Satellite: - Select which satellites you want to search.
Audio PID Use this option to manually set the Audio PID. PCR Use this option to manually set the PCR Finding and storing the channels in manual and auto tune mode is similar, with the exception of the main and favourite lists. In manual mode, only new channels are added to main TV and radio lists and no other changes are made to the lists. 4.1.7. Default settings The default settings function is provided to return the receiver to all the default settings programmed at the factory during production.
En • 4.1.8. System information This menu displays information related to the software and hardware version of the digital receiver as well as the option to update the software. This information may be required if you request service or repair. 4.1.8.1. Product Information Select “Product Information” by pressing the “OK” key (6). A new screen with data will be opened (see picture 25). At the end, just press “Exit” key (22). 4.1.8.2.

The second digit is increased when the recorded file have been divided, due to changes of the status during transmission of the programme (scrambled to not scrambled, etc.) If there are no files with the same name, the last 2 digits will be 0.0.
4.2.1.7. Edit a file To edit a file, press the “Blue” function key (24), during playback. This will open the “Edit” menu with new commands (see picture 29). The keys on the Edit menu are similar to those in playback mode. You can skip, rewind, and fast-forward. You can also advance rewind in intervals of 1 second using the “Left” and “Right” directional keys. You can use the “Yellow” function key (25) to use “Go to Position” to go to the desired position in the file by entering the time in minutes.
En • connector. In this way, you can archive the files to a VCR, DVD-R, or other recording device. To start this process, you must set the archive schedule in the “Personal planner” (see chapter Personal planner). To set the archive schedule, select a file using the “Up” and “Down” directional keys and press the “Menu” key (9) for “Archive/move” in the Library menu.
4.2.3.2. Edit favourite lists Second part of the “Favourite lists manager” is where you can edit favourite lists. In picture 33, you can see two lists, the Main TV list on the left and the My Favourite list on the right. Using the “Blue” key (24) “TV/Radio” you can toggle between TV and Radio lists on the left side. Using the “Green” key (9) “Toggle Right/Left” you can toggle between lists on the right and left side. To move through the lists, use the “Up”, “Down”, “Left” and “Right” navigation keys.
En • Note: After factory defaults settings and favourite list edit, active list is Main TV list. Note: Create different lists for the members of your family. Secure the other lists with a parental lock (see chapter Parental Lock) against unauthorised access. This helps you to prevent the access of children to unsuited programmes 4.3.
Note: In order to have all EPG available you can activate “EPG Background collection“. “Menu“+ “Settings“+ “User preferences“(see chapter Background EPG collection). This will enable the receiver to collect the EPG data continuously, so it is always available when you need to view it, instead of collecting the data for each channel one by one, as you select each channel. This will be done automatically as soon as a tuner is available.
En • 4.4.1. Using the Personal planner You can enter the Personal planner by pressing the “Menu” key (4) + select “Personal planner” or by pressing the “Personal planner” key (30) on your remote control. Picture 37 shows the Personal planner interface. In a table, you can see the names of the channel and programme as well as starting date, time and recording mode. From here, you are able to delete or add events to the Personal planner list. In the upper right corner, free hard disk space is displayed.

En • 4.4.3. Editing events in the Personal Planner To edit events in the Personal Planner, use the direction keys “Up” and “Down” to select the event you want to edit. Press the “OK” key (6) enter the edit dialog. This edit pop-up is identical to the edit pop-up described in the previous chapter 4.4.2 Adding and deleting events in Personal planner. 4.4.4.
4.5.2. Change Pin Code Selecting this option user will be asked to enter a pin code before entering. After typing a valid pin code, a new pop-up opens (see picture 40). Here user is able to enter a new pin code. After entering a fourth digit, user will be asked to repeat a new pin code. Next pop-up will inform user if pin code changes is done successfully of not. Note: The valid pin code default value is ‘1111’. Note: In case that you forgot your pin code, call customer service. 4.6.

6. Alternate Audio Channels and Subtitles Some TV broadcasters (e.g. Euronews) provide several audio channels or subtitles information, carrying commentary in various European languages, to accompany the TV image. In the Now/Next EPG, a sign will be displayed in case the program contains more than one audio channel; also a sign will be displayed in case the program contains subtitles. In case the program contains AC3 a sign will be displayed in Now/Next EPG (see chapter Programme guide (EPG)).
En • Note: Use standby mode to reduce power consumption of the digital receiver. To reduce power consumption to zero the user has to switch off digital receiver using a main power switcher (17) on the rear panel. In that case no activity is possible. 9. USB Your digital receiver is equipped with two USB connectors, USB_A (Host) and USB_B (Device). The Built-in USB controller supports the USB 2.0 standard, with a maximum of 12Mbit/s transmission speed. 9.2. Connecting and external USB 2.
9.4. Copying files from the IDL7000 to a USB device 1. Enter the library by pressing “Library” button on the remote control. If this is a USB2 external storage device like a USB2 memory stick, or USB2 Hard Disk Drive, a list of available storage devices will be displayed like below. 2. Select “Internal Storage” from the available storage devices list. At this stage you can navigate within the folder, where the files to be transferred are located. 3.

9.5. Copying files from a USB device to the IDL7000 1. Enter the library by pressing the “Library” button on the remote control. If there is an external USB storage device connected, the list of available storage devices will be displayed. 2. From the available storage devices list, select the appropriate USB device – in this case “USB Device 0”. At this stage, you can navigate within the folder where the files to be transferred are located. 3.

1. Anleitung für schnelle Installation Diese Anleitung erklärt die wichtigsten Funktionen um sicher zu stellen, dass Sie mit ihrem neuen Receiver direkt fernsehen können. Bitte beachten Sie, dass zusätzliche Feineinstellungen nötig sein können. Bitte lesen Sie die Sicherheitshinweise sorgfältig. 1.1. Anschlüsse Beachten: Bitte den digitalen Receiver noch nicht mit dem Stromnetz verbinden. 1.1.1.
1.1.2. Anschluss an den TV Der digitale Receiver und der TV sind gewöhnlich mit Hilfe eines SCART Kabels (mitgeliefert) miteinander verbunden. Dazu muss einfach das eine Ende des Kabels in der HauptSCART-Buchse am TV und das andere Ende an der TV-SCARTBuchse am Receiver eingesteckt werden. Der SCART-Anschluss stellt sicher, dass Audio- und Videosignale in optimaler Qualität zum TV übertragen werden.
1.1.3. Anschluss an einen DVD oder Videorecorder Wie der TV, wird der DVD oder Videorecorder via SCART-Kabel mit dem Receiver verbunden. Benutzen Sie die Videorecorder SCART-Buchse für diesen Zweck. (siehe Bild 8). Falls Sie auch einen Videorecorder am terrestrischen Antennensignal angeschlossen haben, sollte dieses Kabel zuerst vom Receiver zum Videorecorder und NUR von dort zum TV gehen.
1.2. Stromanschluss Nachdem alle Kabel angeschlossen sind, kann der digitale Receiver nun am Strom angeschlossen werden. Vorher muss noch der Einschalter auf der Rückseite des Receivers (17) auf Position 0 gestellt werden. 1.3. Receiver anschalten Stellen Sie nun den Schalter (17) auf der Rückseite des Receivers auf Position “I”. Der Receiver ist nun angeschaltet und wird gestartet. (“Booting up” ist auf der Anzeige zu sehen) und es kann ca. 20 Sekunden dauern.

LNB Feed (nur für Unicable Monoblock) Diese Option ermöglicht Ihnen einzustellen welchen Feed des Unicable Monoblock LNB sie an Ihrem Receiver möchten. De • Benutzung der Fernbedienung • Für beste Ergebnisse, richten Sie die Fernbedienung bitte direkt auf den Receiver während Sie die Tasten drücken. • Stellen Sie den Receiver nicht in direktes Sonnenlicht oder helle fluoreszierende Beleuchtung, da dies den Receiver beeinträchtigen kann und zum Resultat haben kann, dass der Receiver nicht auf die Fernbedienung reagiert. 4.
4.1. Einstellungen Um die “Einstellungen” aufzurufen, drücken Sie “Menü” (4) und wählen “Einstellungen.” Welche Einstellung Sie nun verändern möchten, können Sie mit den Navigationstasten auswählen oder mit den entsprechenden Nummerntasten. Alle Optionen des Einstellungsmenüs sind beschrieben. Anmerkung: In den Optionen können Sie auch mit den “INKS” und “Rechts” Tasten navigieren um die Einstellungen zu verändern (nicht bei allen Punkten) 4.1.1.
De • 4.1.1.6. History Tiefe IWenn Sie zwischen dem letzten 2, 3 oder 4 ausgewählten Programmen hin und her schalten wollen, können Sie die “History” Taste (23) an Ihrer Fernbedienung benutzen. Mit dieser Option können Sie die Verlaufstiefe für diese Taste bestimmen. Wählen Sie Verlaufstiefe 1, 2 oder 3 mit den Navigationstasten und bestätigen Sie mit der “OK” Taste (6). 4.1.1.7.
Parameter Ihres digitalen Receivers einstellen. (siehe Bild 15) 4.1.2.1. TV SCART Benutzen Sie diese Option um den Videoausgangstyp am TV SCART Anschluss festzulegen. Wählen Sie diese Option mit der “OK” Taste (6) oder den “Links” und “Rechts” Tasten. CVBS – Signal ist am SCART Stecker (13) verfügbar wie auch am Videoausgangsanschluss (10). S-Video – Signal ist am SCART Anschluss (13) verfügbar wie auch am “S-Video” Anschluss (12). RGB – Signal ist nur am SCART Anschluss (13) verfügbar.
De • 4.1.3. Festplatten Einstellungen Hier können Sie die grundlegenden Parameter der eingebauten Festplatte festlegen. (siehe Bild 16) 4.1.3.1. Festplatte formatieren Achtung: Alle gespeicherten Daten werden bei einer Formatierung gelöscht (aufgezeichnete Sendungen, die in der Bibliothek gespeichert sind) Wenn Sie die eingebaute Festplatte formatieren müssen, können Sie das übers Menü tun, indem Sie die “Rote” Funktionstaste (8) drücken. Eine kurze Warnung wird angezeigt und muss bestätigt werden.
Anmerkung: Wenn diese Option aktiviert ist, wird die Sendung im Transport Stream Format aufgezeichnet. 4.1.3.7. Audiospuren aufnehmen Wenn diese Option aktiviert ist, wird jegliche verfügbare Audiospur inklusive AC3 und Fremdsprachen mit aufgenommen. Drücken Sie die “OK” Taste (6) und wählen Sie eine der Optionen mit den Navigationstasten “Auf” und “Ab” aus. Am Ende drücken Sie wieder die “OK” Taste (6) um Ihre Auswahl zu bestätigen. 4.1.3.8.
De • 4.1.5. Außeneinstellungen Hier kann der Antennentyp, der an Ihrem digitalen Receiver angeschlossen ist, bestimmt werden. Auf Bild 18 sehen Sie das Menü der Außeneinstellungen. (mehr über Außeneinstellungen erfahren Sie im Kapitel 1.4) 4.1.5.1 LNB Überspannungsschutz Der Receiver ist mit einem Überspannungsschutz an der LNB-Versorgung ausgestattet. Im Falle eines Kurzschlusses am Antennenkabel wird eine Nachricht eingeblendet. (siehe Bild 18a).
4.1.6.2. Erweiterter Programmsuchlauf Die erweiterte Kanalsuche ermöglicht Ihnen eine Suche mit angepassten Suchparametern. Der Ablauf ist derselbe wie bei einer normalen Satellitensuche und wie im vorherigen Absatz beschrieben. (siehe Bild 22) Satelliten Benutzen Sie diese Option um auszuwählen, welcher Satellit abgesucht werden soll. Frequenz Benutzen Sie diese Option um die Frequenz am zu durchsuchenden Satelliten auszuwählen.
De • Während dieses Vorganges wird Ihnen auch die Möglichkeit angeboten die Festplatte zu formatieren. Es ist hilfreich dies hin und wieder zu tun um die Leistungsfähigkeit der Festplatte zu maximieren. Allerdings werden dadurch alle Daten auf der Festplatte gelöscht. Während dieses Ablaufs werden Sie nach dem PIN Code gefragt um zu vermeiden, dass versehentlich Inhalt der Festplatte gelöscht wird. Informationen über OTA, OTC und herunterladen durch den USB Anschluss. Um zum Software update zu gelangen, drücken Sie die Menütaste an der Fernbedienung, dann wählen Sie das Einstellungsmenü und danach das Menü Systeminformation. Sobald Sie im Systeminformationsmenü sind, wählen Sie “Software update” indem Sie die “OK” Taste (6) drücken und um die OTA Software-Aktualisierung zu starten. (siehe folgende Abschnitte). 4.1.8.2.1.

De • 4.2.1.7. Datei überarbeiten Um eine Datei zu überarbeiten, drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die blaue Funktionstaste (24). Dies wird das Menü “Überarbeiten” öffnen, in welchem Sie neue Befehle sehen können (siehe Bild 29). Die Tasten im Überarbeitungs-Menü sind ähnlich wie die im Wiedergabemodus. Sie können überspringen, zurück spulen und schnell vor spulen.
VIDEORECORDER SCART Ausgangsbuchse. So können Sie Dateien auf einen VIDEORECORDER, DVD-R, oder andere Aufnahmegeräte archivieren. Favoritenlisten bearbeiten Im zweiten Abschnitt des Favoritenlisten Managers können Listen bearbeitet werden.
Die Grüne Taste (9) wird benutzt um Programme in einer Liste umzusortieren. Zusätzlich können mit der gelben Funktionstaste (25) “zur Favoritenliste hinzufügen” ausgewählte Programme zur Favoritenliste hinzugefügt werden. Das Programm wird einer Favoritenliste, die in der Quick Save Liste Einstellung festgelegt wurde, hinzugefügt (siehe Kapitel Quick Save Liste). Nachdem die Liste ausgewählt ist, drücken Sie die “OK” Taste (6) “Auswählen” um die aktive Liste zu bestätigen.
De • 4.3.2. Programmvorschau-Listenansicht benutzen Die Programmvorschau-Listenansicht kann durch drücken der “Menü” Taste (4) + auswählen der “Programmvorschau” oder durch drücken der “EPG” Taste (19) an der Fernbedienung aufgerufen werden. Die Programmvorschau-Daten werden von den TV Kanälen bereitgestellt. Der digitale Receiver blendet ein, was für jeden Kanal verfügbar ist.
Anmerkung: Ereignisse, die vom EPG-Listen/Kanal-Betrachter hinzugefügt wurden, sind nicht auf eine feste Uhrzeit eingestellt, sondern Sie sind an das Programm gebunden. Wenn also die Sendezeit vom Sender geändert wurde, wird der Receiver automatisch auch die Zeit des entsprechenden Eintrags ändern. Anmerkung: Beginn und Ende einer Sendezeit hängen auch von den Einstellungen der “Vor- und Nachlaufzeit” ab (siehe Kapitel Vor Start aufnehmen) 4.4.
De • 4.4.2. Ereignis im Persönlichen Planer hinzufügen oder löschen Anmerkung: Für Programme mit Kindersicherung ist es ohne PIN Code nicht möglich ein Ereignis in den Planer zu setzen. Ereignis löschen: Um ein Ereignis vom Persönlichen Planer zu löschen, können die “Auf” und “Ab” Navigationstasten zum auswählen des Ereignisses verwendet werden. Danach die Rote Funktionstaste (8) drücken.
Anmerkung: Auf “Einzel” Zyklus eingestellte Ereignisse werden automatisch von der Persönlichen Planer Liste gelöscht, nachdem sie erfolgreich ausgeführt wurden. Aufzeichnungsmodus: Hier können Sie wählen, ob eine Sendung im Modus “Automatisch” oder “Verschlüsselt” aufgezeichnet werden soll.
De • PIN Code zu blockieren. Es ist auch sinnvoll Menü-Einstellungen zu blockieren um zu verhindern, dass unbefugte Personen daran etwas verändern. Die Standard-Funktionen wie Programme empfangen, Programmvorschau, Zeitschalter, etc. Bleiben voll funktionsfähig ohne dass man einen PIN Code eingeben muss. De • 5. Videotext Die Videotext Daten, ähnlich wie bei analogen TV Programmen, werden auch auf vielen digitalen TV Programmen ausgestrahlt. Ein digitaler Receiver ist so ausgestattet, das Teletext Signal intern zu entschlüsseln und es am Bildschirm einzublenden. Wenn ein Programm Videotext beinhaltet, wird in der (Jetzt/Nächste) Programmvorschau (EPG) ein Zeichen dafür eingeblendet.
7. PiP – Bild im Bild Eine der Einrichtungen des Twin-Tuner Receiver ist es, mit zwei unabhängigen Empfangsorten ein Bild im Bild (PIP) anzusehen. Diese Funktion ermöglicht, parallel zu Ihrem Programm ein weiteres in einem kleinen Dialogfenster am selben Bildschirm anzusehen. (siehe Bild 46) Um die Bild im Bild (PIP) Funktion einzuschalten, drücken Sie die “PIP” Taste (14) an Ihrer Fernbedienung und ein kleines Dialogfenster wird in einer Ecke Ihres Bildschirmes eingeblendet.
