Sat finder

The Sat finder function allows to align easily a
satellite dish towards a desired satellite position
with the aid of GPS and a map of current location,
see Figure 10: Sat finder.

Go with the smartphone to the position where
the satellite dish should be installed. Tap on
Home » Sat finder » Satellite: and choose the
desired satellite from the list. Afterwards you will
see the position data, the azimuth and elevation
data for the dish as well as the LNB skew angle
(skew without satellite pre-set angle).
A pin point on a map shows your current location
and a red line marks the direction (azimuth) for
the dish alignment related to your environment.
Notice: Location service must be switched on at
the smartphone and an internet connection must
be established.

The Sat meter function can measure satellite
signals and helps the user to analyse and optimize
the reception quality if needed. See Figure 11:

Use the wheel below the section “
Select
satellite
” to scroll and select the desired satellite.
Below section “
Select transponders (up to 4)
to select up to four associated transponders by
scrolling the respective wheels.
Two signal bars, one for signal strength and the
second one for the signal quality, are displayed
next to each of the four transponders.
