Passing the Product on to another User
Ifthisproductpassestoanotheruser,itmustbeinitscompletestate,includingall product
supportdocumentation.MakethenewuserawareofthesupportservicesthatPhilipsMedical
Systemsprovidesforinstalling,commissioningand maintainingtheproduct.Beforepassingon
theproductortakingitoutofservice,
allpatientdatamustbe(backedupelsewhereifnecessary,
and)unrecoverablebedeletedontheproduct.
Itmustberememberedbyallexistingusersthatpassingonmedicalelectricalproductstonew
usersmaycreateserioustechnical,medicalandlegal(e.g.onprivacy)risks.Suchriskscanarise
even
iftheproductisgivenaway.Existingusersarestronglyadvisedtoseekadvicefromtheir
localPhilipsMedicalSystemsrepresentativebefore committingthemselvestopassingonany
product.Alternatively,contactthemanufacturer.
Oncetheproducthasbeenpassedontoanewuser,aprevioususermaystillreceiveimp ortant
safety‐relatedinformation,suchasbulletinsandfieldchangeorders.Inmanyjurisdictions,there
isacleardutyontheprevioususertocommunicatesuchsafety‐relatedinformation tonewusers.
PrevioususerswhoarenotableorpreparedtodothisshouldinformPhilipsMedicalSystems
aboutthenew
user,sothatPMScanprovidethenewuserwithsafety‐relatedinformation.
Packaging the MR400
TopackagetheMR400forshipment,usetheMR400packingmaterialstosafelytransportthe
monitor.Removeallaccessoriesbe forepackaging.
CAUTION
If shipment of the MR400 is required, batteries must be removed prior to transport and internal
batteries must be disconnected.

mainspowerisdisconnected.
