2InserttheLuerlockconnectoronthesamplingline(REF94018)
intothesample
portonthewatertrapandthentightenthe
connector(nomorethanonehalf‐turnshouldberequired).
3 Accordingthetypeofpneumaticci rcuitrequiredtoperformAGENT
monitoring,connectthepneumaticcircuititems(seethediagrams
above).
WhereequippedwithaLuerlock,onlyahalf‐turnofthe
Luerlock
connectorshouldberequiredwhereequipped;otherwise,ensure
thatanytubingconnectorhasbeenpressedfirmlyontothe
associatedadapter.
4Verifythateachconnectionistightbyholdingthenasalprongs(or
thepatientairwayadapter)closetoyourearandlisteningfora
hissingsound.
Increasethe
flowtemporarilyifnecessaryandthenreducetothe
prescribedflowrateoncetheflowisverified.
5Onadailybasis,performasystemtest;seepage9‐8fordetails.
