Install Directions for Berg III on Honda eu3000is/eu6500is

1. Remove product from box. You should have the following products:

 (1) Air hose kit

 (1) Fuel line kit

 (1) Fuel tank

 (1) Berg III gas cap

 (1) 1/4” NPT quick disconnect male fitting

 (1) “Optional” ¼” npt 45 deg fitting (this is to angle air hose line if needed depending on generator.

You can place this between the oil plug and airline. This will allow you to close the door on the EU6500

for example.)Note: if you use this be sure to use Teflon tape on both sides of fitting.

2. Air Line

Airline comes assembled and ready to install.

3. Fuel Line

Wrap the brass threads on the fuel line with the Teflon tape provided. Wrap the treads with 2 layers of

tape.

3. Next wrap the 1/4” NPT quick disconnect female fitting with Teflon tape the same way. 4. Install quick disconnect into Berg III gas cap. Tighten with wrench. Do not over tighten. About 2 full turns with wrench. 5. Install fuel line to Gas tank. Use wrench to tighten but leave about 1 full thread showing. Do not over tighten.

6. Remove oil fill plug from generator and install preassembled airline provided hand tight. 7. Remove gas cap rom generator. Install Berg III cap in its place as shown. Once Berg III cap installed, thread the top of the airline into the Berg III cap as shown. Use wrench and go one full turn past finger tight. 8. Press quick disconnect on the fuel line from the gas tank into the Berg III gas cap.

9. Unit should look like this once complete. Notes:      Be sure to fill both units with fuel before you start your generator to get maximum run time from your generator. You must have the red valve on the auxiliary tank cap open for fuel to flow. Remember: Berg III is designed to keep generator full. Once the generator is full it will stop pumping until fuel level drops in generator. It will then start pumping again.
