1 Unpacking Unpack carefully. This is an electromechanical device and should be handled carefully. Check to ensure the following items are included: > R5 Series Bullet Camera Assembly with Sunshield > (5) 1 ¼” screws > (5) wall anchors > (1) ¼” screw > Desiccant pack > IQtools CD-ROM 2 Service If the unit needs repair service or parts, the customer should contact IQinVision for authorization to return, as well as shipping instructions.
5 Assembly Parts List The following depicts the parts included (Figure 5.1): 1. R5 Series camera assembly 2. R5 Series sunshield 2 1 Figure 5.1 6 Mounting Options The R5 Series camera is designed to be used in one of the following configurations. 1. Surface mounted to a plenum or other durable ceiling surface. 2. Surface mounted to any interior/exterior durable wall surface. The R5 Series bullet camera provide the following connection options (Figure 6.1). 1. Ethernet (Power-over-Ethernet) connector.
7 Removal of Housing Cover 1. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw on the bottom of the camera assembly (Figure 7.1). 2. Gently pull the camera housing cover away from the camera assembly. 1 2 Figure7.1 8 Mounting the Camera Assembly Mounting to masonry or other durable surface wall, ceiling or overhang with cables routing through the wall or ceiling. 1. Select an appropriate position for the camera and drill the mounting holes. If necessary, also drill a cable pass-through hole. 2.
9 Connect Camera 1. Optional: Insert the Micro SD card in Micro SD card slot (not supplied). 2. Route and connect the Power-over-Ethernet cable (and 12V DC cable if required) to the appropriate connector port in Figure 9.1. M ove the camera into the desired position by gripping the camera assembly and carefully pivoting the camera to the appropriate angle and direction. 2.
11 Complete the Bullet Camera Installation 1. Attach the Housing Cover to the Camera Housing by sliding the two pieces together as shown in Figure 11.1. 2. Replace the ¼” screw on the bottom of the assembly [Figure 11.2]. 3. Attach sunshield if outdoors (or desired for asethetics) with (2) ¼” screws [Figure 11.3]. 4. To view a camera, double-click a camera entry or highlight a camera in the list and click the “Web Page” button (Figure 12.3). The “Live” page will be displayed through the default browser (IE recommended). It is also possible to open Internet Explorer and enter the IP address of the IQeye camera in the address field of the browser. If prompted, install the Active X control (Figure 12.4). Figure 12.3 5.
