1.1 Installing Readiris™ Pro 12
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:makesureyouhavethenecessaryadministraonrightstoinstallthe
soware.
 • InserttheIRIScan™ Express 3 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM
driveofyourcomputer.Theinstallaonscreenappears.
• ClickReadiris™ Pro 12tostarttheinstallaon.
Note: it is strongly recommended to install the dierent
components in the order they appear on-screen.
 • ClickNextandfollowtheon-screeninstrucons.
 • ClickFinishtocompletetheinstallaon.
 • Entertheserialnumberwhenprompted.
 Youndtheserialnumberonthelabelinsidetheproductbox.
1.2 Installing the IRIScan™ Express 3
 • WhenReadiris™Pro12hasbeeninstalled,
returntotheinstallaonscreen.
 • ClickIRIScan™ Express 3 Installer to start the
installaon.
 • SelecttheInstallaon Language,andthenclick
Install the soware.
 • NowclickInstallattheboomofthewindow
andfollowtheon-screeninstrucons.
 ThisinstallstheBuonManagersoware
andthescannerdriver.
1.3 Calibrang the scanner
Attheendoftheinstallaon,youareaskedtocalibratethescanner.
ConnectthescannertoyourcomputerwiththeprovidedUSBcable.
 • ClickOKtostarttheCalibraonWizard.
 • Insertthecalibraonsheetprovidedwithyourscannerand
click Calibrate now.
Youarerecommendedtorestartyourcomputeraerinstallingthe
scannersoware.
