Intended Use The Ironton 12V Oil Extractor Pump is ideal for quick and clean oil changes. Simply connect the oil extractor’s clamps to the vehicle’s 12V car battery. The oil is simply drawn out the motor through the oil dipstick bore. It works with motor, diesel, or heating oil. ⚠CAUTION PUMP USE AND CARE Do not force the pump. Products are safer and do a better job when used in the manner for which they are designed. Plan your work, and use the correct product for the job. Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the product will operate properly and perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately. Never operate the product with a damaged part. Do not use a product with a malfunctioning switch.
Used engine oil is toxic and should be properly disposed of or recycled. Hot oil can cause severe burns. Allow the engine oil to cool down completely before pumping the oil. Do not use with corrosive or flammable fluids. Do not run pump for more than 30 minutes. Not for use by or around children.
oil. 1. Before changing the motor oil, drive the motor until the oil has a temperature of approx. 40°-50 °C (104-140 °F). Cooler temperatures will reduce the flow rate due to the high viscosity of the oil. If the oil is too hot, the sealing of the pump might be disturbed. 2. Shut down the engine after reaching a sufficient temperature. 3. Attach the suction probe (1) to the extraction pump (4) with the suction connector (2), and attach the hose (7) to the extraction pump (4) with the drain connector (3).
3. Connect the oil extractor to the 12V car battery. Make sure that the clamps (5) are connected with the correct poles of the battery (red clamp to “plus”, black clamp to “minus”). 4. Turn on the switch (6) and pump the oil out of the engine. 5. As soon as all oil is pumped, switch the pump off. Do not let the pump run without oil. 6. Fill the engine with fresh motor oil according to the maintenance instruction for your car and check the oil-level with the oil dipstick.
