TheWaterLeakAlarmisaffordablesolutiontoalertingyouquicklyofwaterleaks.Itisdesigned
tobeusedinareaswherethereisapotentialfordamagingwaterleaks–dishwashers,washing
machines,hotwatertanks,airconditionercondensationdrippans,andmorespecifically,water
filter.Whenmountedproperlyitcanmonitorwhetherwaterisleakingintoareasthatcouldbe
damaged.

Installation
TheWaterLeakAlarmiscomposedoftwosections
linkedtogetherwithacabletheUnitandtheProbe.

1.Installthebattery.Openthebackcoverofthe
Unitbysplittingtheboxfromthegap.Aflathead
screwdrivermaybeused.Snapthebatteryonthe
socketandinstallthecoverback.
2.Test.Wetafingerwithsomewater,touchthetwo
metalcontactsintheProbe.Thisshouldtriggerthe
alarm.Removingthefingerstopsthealarm.
3.MounttheProbefirst.Itisintendedtobepositionedwiththetwometalcontactspointing
down.Findasuitablelocationwherewatercouldaccumulateifaleakweretooccur.Youwill
needtodetermineifthesurfacetomounttheProbeissmoothorrough/porous.Ifsmoothyou
canuseonepieceoftheincludeddoublesidedtape.Whenusingdoublesidedtapeapplyto
cleandrysurface.RemoveonesideofthetapeandattachittothebacksideoftheProbe.Once
themountingsurfaceisready,removetheothersideofthedoublesidetapeandpositionprobe
sothatthemetalcontactsarepointingdown,touchingthefloorandthebackoftheProbe(with
thedoublesidetape)isupagainstthewall,baseboardormountingplate.Applypressureto
securetheProbetothesurface.
4.MounttheUnit.Choosealocationthatishighanddry.Mountitusingtheattachedmagnetor
doublesidedtape.
Maintenance
MakesuretheUnitstaysdryandcool.TesttheProbeatleastonceamonthtoensurethealarm
works.Replacebatteryonceayear.
