The valve clearance adjustment procedure for the 4BG1

engines is identical to that for the 6BG1 engines. Only

the number of cylinders is different.

INJECTION TIMING

Note:

Take care to avoid entry of dust or foreign particles into

the pump interior when the timing adjustment is made.

FLANGE MOUNTED INJECTION PUMP INJECTION TIM-

ING CHECKING AND ADJUSTMENT

The flange mounted injection pump is installed behind

the timing gear case.
