User manual

To reduce faulty measurements, the probes must be installed with a 20-40 cm distance to the hot water tank. This depends on the
heat conductivity of the raw material used.
To achieve good thermal contact, place the flat side of the probes directly on the pipe.
The supplied spring and tension chain provide good and stable contact.
Attention! During assembly ensure that the spring may not bounce, as this may result in eye injuries. Should the pipes be covered
by insulation material, remove the material from the intended point or mount the temperature probe below.
Operation
Close the housing after wall assembly and mounting the temperature probe. Now reconnect the device to the 230V socket.
Initialisation will take approx. 2 sec. During this time the display will indicate the manufacturer’s name and the outlet socket will be
activated for some seconds, while the display “Pump in operation“ lights up. Now connect the circulation pump to the outlet socket.

Example of display (in M3 mode)
Standard display
M3 = set mode

T2= temperature of backflow pipe
General
The four keys below the display are used to operate and set the device.
The display indicates the set data and values. The display will be illuminated as soon as a key is pressed.
The illumination goes off automatically if no more key is pressed within 60 sec. In addition, every sub-menu will switch to the main
menu after 60 sec if no more key is pressed.
After having completed the setting, press the “Back“ key until the display indicates the standard display.
The keys have the following functions:
“Menu“ key
Calling the menu for setting
Calling the displayed menu level
Moving the cursor
Saving the changed values
“Back“ key
Back to the previous menu level
Cancelling the menu level without saving
“Arrow up“ and “Arrow down“ keys
Selecting menu levels
Changing the values
Setting the 4 modes (M1-M4)
Note: All individual settings are permanently saved in EEPROM to have them in memory in case of power failure and empty
battery.
In all modes the switch-off time (pump out) may be set between 8 p.m. and 11.45 p.m. and between 0.15 a.m. and 7.45 a.m. in 15-
minute intervals. The pump will always be switched off between 11.45 p.m. and 0.15 a.m.
The mode settings M1 and M2 are used most frequently and ready to be used immediately.
In M1 mode (daily operating time) the following values are permanently set:
- Maximum pump operation time: 15 minutes
- Measuring interval time: 30 minutes
These values cannot be changed.
In M2 mode (daily operating time) the following values are permanently set:
- Maximum pump operation time: 15 minutes
- Measuring interval time: 60 minutes
These values cannot be changed.
In M3 mode (daily operating time) the following values may be adjusted to your daily requirements.
- Maximum pump operating time between 1 to 30 minutes, adjustable in 1-minute intervals
- Measuring interval time between 0 to 4 hours, adjustable in 15-minute intervals
In M4 mode (two different operating times) you may select weekdays (Mon - Fri) and weekends (Sat - Sun) and change the
following values.
- Maximum pump operating time from 1 to 30 minutes, adjustable in 1-minute intervals
- Measuring interval time from 0 to 4 hours, adjustable in 15-minute intervals
Menu layout
The menu comprises two levels, each with sub-levels to be used to make all settings:
1) Mode menu level: This menu level is used to choose between the 4 modes M1-M4 or to make the respective settings in
each mode.
2) Settings menu level: This menu level is used to make the basic settings (weekday, date, time) or to set the difference in
temperature between the flow and backflow temperature probes.
The “Reset“ level in the settings is used to reset the device to delivery state.
