Exchanging the storage battery
This device is equipped with a 3V Lithium Button-Cell Battery of type CR2032 to support the time and the set mode in case of power
failure.
Avoid losing your saved data in case of power failure by replacing this battery approx. every 5 years.
Opening the housing
Attention – Before opening the housing, it is strictly necessary to disconnect the mains plug.
Attention – Explosion hazard in case of improper exchange! Replace this battery by an equivalent type only.
Release the four screws on the top of the device and remove the upper part. In the upper part the button-cell battery is now visible
on the printed circuit board. Remove the old battery and insert the new one into the battery holder observing correct poling. The
positive pole of the battery points outwards. Close the housing after replacing the battery. Now you may reconnect the device to the
230V socket and take it into operation. In case of doubt contact a specialist.
Possible malfunctions
MALFUNCTION SOLUTION
• No display • Plug the connector plug of the device into the mains plug
• Check power supply
• Device switches off the pump
as long as there is no hot water
everywhere
• Set shorter measuring interval time
• Set longer pump operating time
• Set smaller differences in temperature
• Pump is switched on too often,
although no water has been
taken
• Extend distance between flow probe and buffer storage
• Avoid draught on the probes
• Check contact of temperature probes to pipe.
• Pump is not switched on after
taking water
• Pump does not start if circulation contains sufficient hot water
• Check contact of temperature probes to pipe
• Increase temperature in the hot water tank
• Set shorter measuring interval time
• Set longer pump operating time
• Display indicates “Err“
- Temperatures outside the
measuring range (0-100°C)
- Temperature probe or supply
pipe is damaged
• Check temperature probes, if applicable, observe the operating temperature
of the device.
