Bringing into service
1. Frequency
The higher the frequency is, the more effective the professional lime prevention device will work.
Position 1 = approximately 500 Hz
Position 2 = approximately 1000 Hz
Position 3 = approximately 2000 Hz
2. Voltage
You can adjust the signal amplitude and turn the unit on or off with this switch.
Position 1 = turn off device
Position 2 = low output voltage
Position 3 = high output voltage
3. Adaptation
You can adjust the rise time of the signal edge with this switch.
The adjustment of the rise time is the most important setting on your unit.
The harder the water is, the shorter the rise time should be.
Position 1 = long rise time
Position 2 = medium rise time
Position 3 = short rise time
Adjustment examples:
Water is classified into four levels of hardness.
Hardness level Water hardness dH Description
1 up to 7 soft
2 7 - 14 medium
3 14 - 21 hard
4 more than 21 very hard
Please check with your local water supply utility regarding the water hardness.
In order to test the water hardness in your household yourself, you can obtain the appropriate testing strips in a well-stocked
drugstore.
Examples – Adjustments on the device
Hardness level 1
Frequency position 1 = 500 Hz, voltage position 2, adaptation position 1
Hardness level 2
Frequency position 2 = 1000 Hz, voltage position 3, adaptation position 2
Hardness level 3 + 4
Frequency position 3 = 2000 Hz, voltage position 3, adaptation position 3
If you are unable to obtain the hardness level, set all three switches to position 3 = maximum.
