STANDARDS & REGULATIONS
Frost Resistance:
Frost rang denes a les ability to withstand damage caused by freeze/ thaw cycles as
determined by American Society of tesng Materials (ASTM). Tiles that are not able to withstand
freeze/ thaw cycles are not suitable for outdoor use.
Scratch Hardness Mohs Scale Rangs:
Scratch resistance denes the hardness of a le as determined by Mohs scale. The test is per-
formed by scratching the surface of the le with dierent minerals, the soest being talc (#1) and
he hardest being diamond (#10)
A numerical value of #5 or greater is suitable for residenal applicaon
A numerical value of #7 or greater is suitable for commercial applicaon
Coloraon:
Coloraons in the les can vary slightly based on the manufacturing. Tiles can range from absolute
consistency to a more random appearance. Heres an overview of color and shading of individual
le selecons.
LOW (V1) | Tiles display uniform color within each le and from le to le
MEDIUM (V2) | Slight variaon in texture or paern within a certain color
HIGH (V3) | Moderate variaon from le to le, and within each le. The amount of colors on
each piece might vary signicantly.
RANDOM (V4) | Considerable variaon from le to le for a unique nal installaon. One le
