► Todialaphonenumber:
1 In the Home screen, select Phone and press Enter/Select. The Dial tab is
displayed,showingthePhone'scalllog.
Note: PressingthenumberorletterkeyswhiletheHomescreenisdisplayed
alsoopenstheDialtab.
2 Insert the phone number to be dialed. (You do not need to press ALT when
dialingaphonenumber.)
Note: If you have assigned a speed dial number for the required phone
number,long press the corresponding speeddial numberto place the
call.Ifnocontactnumbe rhasbeenassignedtothisspeeddialnumber,
longpressdisplaystheAssignSpeedDialscreen.Fordetailsondefining
speeddialnumbers,seeConfiguringthePhoneSettingsonpage108.
WhenyouinsertanumberintheDialfield,contactsthatbeginwiththe
corresponding letter (as indicated on the key) are displayed in the
lower portion of the Dial tab, enabling you to easily select and call a
contact.
3 Press Enter/Select, or pressthe Call button(the green button on the edge of
yourOgo).Yourcallisplaced.TheCallscreenisdisplayed.
4 Whenthecallrecipientpicksup,atimerisdisplayedthattracksthedurationof
theongoingcall.
Note: To end the call, press the End button (the red button on the edge of
yourOgo),orscrolltoHangUpandpressEnter/Select.
CallingaContact
You can select and call a contact from the Contacts screen or the Phone screen.
Alternatively,youcaninsertthefirstletter(s)ofthecontactnameinhomescreen,
andthePhone'sDialtabwillbedisplayed.
► TocallacontactfromtheDialtab:
1 In the Home screen, select Phone and press Enter/Select. The Dial tab is
displayed.
Note: Ifyou pressEnter/Selectagain,beforeinsertinganynumberorletters,
theContactListwill be opened in apopuplist,andyou will beableto
selecttheContactyouwanttocall.
2 Insertthefirstlette r(s)ofthecontact’sname(orthecorrespondingnumberon
thekeyboard).
