2.3 Pairing the BTP-06L ith your mobile phone The BTP-06L needs to be connected to your mobile phone by a procedure called pairing. This guide will instruct you in this pairing procedure: Once the BTP-06L is powered up for first time (or use Menu > Bluetooth > Add phone ) it automatically enters the pairing mode. Set your mobile phone to be discoverable by the BTP-06L – please check your mobile phone user guide for detailed instructions.
Please note that the working range for Bluetooth is up to 10 meters. If there are obstructions between the BTP-06L and your mobile phone (such as walls, metal objects, etc.) the working range may narrow considerably. Once you have finished the pairing, you can use the BTP-06L to make calls instead of your mobile phone. If your mobile phone supports contact and call history synchronization, this will start automatically (as indicated by the symbol ).
