FCC Part 15 Regulation
Pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules, you are cautioned that changes or modifications not expressly
approved by Janam could void your authority to operate the XM5 handy terminal.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant
to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur
in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to
try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
In accordance with FCC 15.21, changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party
responsible for compliance could void the user‘s authority to operate the equipment.
The antenna(s) must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or
transmitter. To maintain compliance with FCC/EU RF exposure guidelines for body-worn
operation, do not use accessories that contain metallic components. .

Radio Compliance
XM5 RF terminals are in conformity with all essential requirements of the R&TTE Directive (1999/5/EC).
This device is marked with in accordance with the Class II product requirements
specified in the R&TTE Directive, 1999/5/EC. The device is intended for use throughout the European
Community; PAN European Frequency Range: 2.402 ~ 2.480 GHz.
Restrictions for use in France are as follows:
• Indoor use: maximum power (EIRP*) of 100 mW for the entire 2.400 ~ 2.4835 GHz
• Outdoor use: Maximum power (EIRP*) of 100 mW for the 2.400 ~ 2.454 GHz band and
maximum power (EIRP*) of 10 mW for the 2.454 ~ 2.483 GHz band.
The CE mark on the device indicates that the system has been tested to and confirm with the
provisions noted within the 2004/108/EC Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive and the
2006/95/EC Low Voltage Directive,
1999/5/EC (R&TTE), and 2011/65/EU (RoHS)
