4.7.3 Public Address function with an external speaker (option)
If an external speaker (NVS-423R) is connected, the Public Address function is available to make an
announcement over the external speaker.
■ Procedure ■

Lift the handset from the cradle, and
press FUNC Î 4PA .
¾ The equipment will immediately enter PA mode
and enabled to make an announcement over
the external speaker.
¾ Press PTT key to talk.
¾ To finish the public address function and return
to the status display, place the handset back on
hook.
(Also, pressing the CANCEL key is as well.)
In this mode, radio wave is not transmitted by PTT.
